Jambo! As the year winds down Classroom 7 is continuing to explore the continent of Africa. We have learned some of the many different languages, customs, cultures, and animals that are indigenous to this part of the world. Do you know the name of the intricate headpiece women wear in Africa and why they wear them? Do you know how to tell a female ostrich from a male ostrich? Or do you know what ... [More]

Classroom 8 is showing signs of spring. The children drew wonderful still life drawings of irises and our spring tree has changed from buds into leaves made of green handprints. We have begun learning about the ocean and sea creatures. This past winter, we learned how to tell if something is alive. At a recent circle time, the children were excited to tell us about how they knew sea c... [More]

After completing the transportation unit, we decided to venture out to the ocean and sea. During our journey through the deep blue, we explored different types of fish and a variety of sea life. The children investigated sea shells by size, shape, and color, as well as starfish and coral at the scienc... [More]

Welcome spring! We cant believe the end of the year is approaching. Time has flown by so quickly. Once we ended our unit on The Body we jumped into Bears and hibernation.
